What are Sam's Laws? 

Sam's Laws Initiative is a community-driven policy and advocacy initiative dedicated to advancing accountability, transparency, and public safety reforms.

Inspired by the life and legacy of Samuel L. Sharpe Jr., whose life was stolen by preventable choices made by out-of-state law enforcement officers during the Wisconsin-hosted 2024 Republican National Convention, Sam's Laws was born from concerns about inadequate crisis response, failures in accountability, and policing practices rooted in racism that continue to undermine public trust, community safety, and equal justice under the law.
